SALT LAKE CITY – The Community Foundation of Utah is hosting the state’s Day of Giving this year on Thursday March 26th, 2015. Over 500 nonprofits and school need our help! Love Utah, Give Utah will raise money for nonprofits and schools through a single online donation platform (Razoo), providing a simple way to connect donors to charitable causes. This 24-hour online fundraising effort will support hundreds of nonprofits, and the opportunity to raise millions of dollars.
“This year we’re all about bigger and better,” said Blair Hodson, the Director of Initiatives at CFU. “We have had great marketing, support, outreach, celebrity endorsement and donations from our amazing sponsors. But all that is nothing if we don’t get individual, unique donations rolling in. We seek to double our 1 million dollar 2014 this year.”
You can schedule a donation now in advance or head to loveutah.org March 26th to choose a chairty and share any amount. Even $10 goes a long way – prizes are based on number of donors, not dollar amount.
There will be an event hosted March 26th at the upstairs of the Gallivan Center where you can stop by to chat with groups. Everyone is welcome to join in the excitement of the live stream, Food Truck Thursday, and cheer for the milestones reached. Akavit and Friendemic are donating marketing and social media services throughout the day to all interested nonprofits. The public is welcome to visit, learn more about some organizations, and enjoy refreshments and fun.
The support of the community is crucial for so many great causes and schools to succeed. Many operate on little to no budgets. Please consider supporting our great state.
Thank you to the many sponsors, and certainly Alliance Health, Ally Bank, Mountain America Credit Union and Arches Health Plan.
