Golfing in Utah is an experience in itself— it’s not an uncommon sight to see snow on the mountain peaks behind golfers putting across a green. It’s also not uncommon to see people golfing all year long. From the lush, green courses of northern Utah down to the red rocks of southern Utah, there are greens for every type of golfer.

1. Mountain Dell

Mountain Dell offers 36 holes of breathtaking views and frequent glimpses of wildlife. The higher elevation provides cooler summer golfing conditions. The Canyon Course stretches up the eastern mountain from the clubhouse approximately four miles before looping back.  The Lake Course features narrow, rolling fairways and dramatic tee shots over deep ravines and water.

2. Bonneville Golf Course

One of the most popular 18-hole courses in Utah. Bonneville is renowned for its hilly terrain and challenging greens. Situated on the East Bench of Salt Lake City, the course offers awe-inspiring sunsets and views of both the surrounding mountains and the entire Salt Lake Valley. It is not a long course but wooded areas around many fairways and fast greens make the course very challenging.

3. The Hideout Golf Club

Established in 2001, the Hideout Golf Club has quickly become one of Utah’s most popular golf courses. The Hideout Golf Club is located in Monticello at a fairly high elevation. The best time to visit is from June 1st –October 15th. This 18-hole course has enough elevation changes to keep things interesting and is known for being in beautiful shape. The Hideout Golf Club has been referred to as Utah’s best kept secret. This beautiful course can be played for under $50.00 every day of the week.

Hobble Creek is quite possibly Utah’s most popular golf course and for good reason. This course is player friendly and very beautiful. With running water and wildlife one is sure to enjoy their day on the links. In most parts of the country you have to join a private club for an experience like this.
