SALT LAKE CITY – What’s on the menu for lunch today? If you live in Utah, chances are you’re more likely to dig into a Kalua Pork from Mo’ Bettah than cheesy potatoes or a green Jell-o, according to data from Yelp.

Yes, Utahns are crazy about Hawaiian food.

The Huffington Post ran a piece Wednesday about the most disproportionately popular cuisine in each state with numbers from Yelp, and compared each state’s numbers with that cuisine’s popularity in restaurants around the rest of the country.

Utah’s fixation on Hawaiian food is 241 percent higher than the national average, with hot dogs coming in second place at 54 percent higher than the rest of the nation.

Mexican food found its way to third place, with Utahns preferring burritos and tamales 50 percent more than the other states in the union.
