This should probably be first on the list. Not only will you get a chance to try Dolmathes, Keftedes and Souvlaki, but they even provide the recipes for some of these tasty dishes on their website.

6. Take transit, carpool or bike to the festival

Parking downtown can sometimes be challenging, so plan ahead by taking transit, driving with a few friends or family, or cycling to the festival. UTA says it’s only a short walk from the Old Greek Town stop to the festival doors, and the weather is beautiful this time of year.

7. Tickets are cheap

Dollar Bills

$3 will get adults in the doors, and children ages 5 and under can get in free.

8. Utah has an awesome Greek history

Did you know in January 1905, the Greek Community of Utah was organized from over 200 Greek residents at the Odd Fellows Building, and construction of a church was started a few months later. The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church was named and dedicated in October 1905, and the community is one of the biggest parishes west of Chicago.
