3 refreshing ideas for first dates around the Salt Lake Valley this winter

Christmas time around the Salt Lake valley is magical and offers some amazing and unique date possibilities. You could always do something traditional like visit the lights at Temple Square or Thanksgiving Point, but there are other great winter activities you shouldn’t miss out on this year.

Soldier Hollow- Located in Midway, Utah, Soldier Hollow offers some of the best snow tubing in Utah. Solider Hollow boasts lanes that are over 1200 feet long.  Don’t worry about getting back to the top of the hill on your own because there is a tow rope so you won’t be out of breath when you and your date have an opportunity to talk.  Tickets are 20 dollars per person for 2 hours. After you are finished head over to Café Galleria for some amazing pizza and out-of-this-world milkshakes.

If you and your date go once, you will be hooked and want to start playing others on open curling nights. Classes are 12 dollars per person.

3. Hogle Zoo Lights

Now in its 7th year the Hogle Zoo lights is a favorite for many locals. There is something fantastic about seeing the zoo and animals at night surrounded by Christmas lights. Make sure to dress warm and grab a hot chocolate along the way.
